Coffee Shops in Little Rock

Coffee Shops in Little Rock

One of the country's most popular coffee chains has more than 60 locations in Arkansas. Sure, they're everywhere, but do they make the best coffee? We don't think so.

We prefer supporting small coffee shops. After all, that means supporting our local Little Rock community as well as trying a wider variety of drinks and foods.

But what small coffee shops have the best coffee and vibes in the city?

River City Coffee

If you're looking for a relaxing spot to sit down with your laptop, have a pastry, and drink some fresh coffee, you can't go wrong with River City Coffee. To many local Little Rock residents, this is one of the best coffee shops in town. They have great baristas, tasty snacks, and some of the best coffee you can get.

There are a variety of alternative milk options behind the coffee bar so everyone can enjoy a tasty coffee beverage regardless of dietary limitations or preferences. They also have caffeine-free Italian sodas with a ton of flavor options if you're in the mood for something different.

Prices are super affordable, making this a great everyday spot for someone who loves to get their caffeine fix outside of the house. The shop also displays a lot of artwork from local artists, giving it an eclectic and artsy vibe that can't be matched by typical chain coffee shops in Arkansas.

Fidel & Co.

Fidel & Co. Coffee Roasters is another fantastic coffee shop in Little Rock, and it's one that many locals have recommended. From fantastic ownership to near-perfect drip coffee, it's clear that this humble coffee roaster has a lot to offer the Little Rock community.

They have two locations, so if one is too crowded, head over to the other!

Fidel & Co. tend to have a quiet and relaxing vibe, making it a great spot to sit with a good book, work on schoolwork, or work from "home" with a nice hot coffee in front of you.

If you love their coffee, don't be afraid to take some home with you! You can buy the beans right from the shop or online so you can keep enjoying their coffee at home.

Guillermo's Gourmet Coffee

Gourmet coffee in Little Rock? Yes, please. If you love a high-end cup of Joe, you don't want to miss Guillermo's. The vibe at Guillermo's Gourmet Coffee is warm and cozy. On a chilly winter day, it's the perfect spot to warm up with a friend. The calming smell of coffee and flavored syrups fills the room.

Locals claim that Guillermo's has some of the best customer service in town from the well-trained and talented baristas. When you go to Guillermo's, you know you're going to get fantastic customer service.

Insider tip: Don't sleep on the tea. Even if you're not in the mood for coffee, they make a fantastic cup of Earl Grey.

Nexus Coffee and Creative

Are you looking for a co-working vibe without the traditional co-working space? Do you want to connect with other creatives and young professionals? Nexus Coffee and Creative might be the perfect coffee shop for you.

This large and multifunctional space is perfect for anyone looking to find community or work in solitude (as long as they like coffee and homemade baked treats, of course).

The atmosphere is both modern and cozy. Nexus often has local artwork available for purchase, and they sometimes even host live music (though if you're there to work, that may not work in your favor).

We recommend Nexus for anyone who wants a nice coffee house experience, but even if you're just hopping in for coffee on the go, they make a fantastic latte.

Leiva's

Do you prefer to sit outside on a nice day? Leiva's Express is the perfect spot for you.

Leiva's has been creating high-quality Guatemalan coffee since the 1950s. With a focus on sustainability and fair trade beans, they've been a fantastic contribution to the coffee world even beyond Little Rock.

With Leiva's Express, they now have a permanent place to serve the Little Rock community their fantastic coffee. It's a permanent trailer setup, so while it's not a traditional coffee shop, it is a genuine fixture of the area.

This is the perfect spot to sit alone and enjoy the fresh air or to stop with a friend for a casual caffeinated hangout. Great coffee with great values, what's not to love?

Honey Pies Gourmet Bakery & Cafe

This isn't a coffee shop per se, but many Little Rock locals claim that Honey Pies is one of the best spots for a cup of coffee in town. While you're at it, you'll have a slice of pie, right?

There's plenty of room within the cafe to hang out with friends or settle in for some computer time. The ambiance is excellent and, of course, the pies are fantastic. Settle in with a cup of coffee and a slice of pecan pie on a rainy day.

Mugs Cafe

If you want a mug of hot coffee, where else would you go but Mugs in Little Rock? It's a simple and straightforward coffee shop with a variety of coffee drinks and breakfast foods, so you can start your day off right.

There are two locations, and the Heights location is open until 9 PM. This makes it perfect for anyone who needs a nighttime caffeine fix before the night shift or who just wants a great place to hang out with a pal in the evening.
